About

Automotive Architecture was set up by Architect Charles Mullineux to combine his two main passions: cars and architectural design. His architectural background is in high end residential properties in central London and the Cotswolds. These demand bespoke design and high quality detailing and finishes to suit the individual’s requirements.

Automotive architecture provides a unique service that will do justice to the very special projects to a quality they deserve, taking great care in considering the site, the client requirements and of course the cars they will house.

WHAT WE DO

We provide a full architectural service from Concept to Completion, through Planning, Detailed Design and Construction stages. Our service looks at the project as a whole, including architectural work, interiors, joinery and external works. We aim to design every aspect of a project from building envelope to internal finishes, including joinery design and detailing, depending on the project requirements.

We have a wealth of experience working in London and the Cotswolds. A background in high end bespoke residential projects with a keen eye for detailed design makes Automotive Architecture a great choice for all project of varying size and style.

WHAT’S IMPORTANT

Other than your beautiful cars, our clients are the most important aspect of every project and our aim is to treat each one individually taking into account the clients needs and desires to fit the unique nature of each site and the brief. We will guide our clients through their exciting projects making it a seamless and enjoyable experience.

We build good relationships with local contractors, suppliers and specialists to provide the highest quality of finish and service.

Why I love what I do

My passion for cars has come from a very young age, I regularly attend events such as the Goodwood Revival and am a keen driver myself, I have raced Caterhams and currentlyrace an HRDC Austin A35 Academy race car. It is my love for cars that prompted the creation of Automotive Architecture. There are many people that have fabulous car collections which deserve to be displayed within a beautifully designed bespoke piece of architecture that fulfils both the needs of the owner and reflects their passion for their cars.

Automotive Architecture designs bespoke beautiful pieces of architecture that not only store their clients cars in a warm secure environment but displays them providing a place for the owners and guests to relax and appreciate their investment. Specialised areas could include: a place to display memorabilia and books, a quiet spot to while away a few hours alone, or space for entertaining guests. Each project is tailored to the specific needs of the client, the location and, most importantly, the cars.
